Zone Conference at the Oklahoma City Temple
President Mansell had the missionaries from the Lawton Zone come to OKC for interviews and to attend a session at the Temple. He has to interview every missionary every month (220 missionaries). He says he doesn't get a lot of down time anymore.
Christmas at Lynettes
Ft. Sill essentially closes down at Christmas. We didn't hold church on the Post for 3 weeks. It gave us a chance to attend church one week at the Lawton 1st Ward and then we drove to Arkansas to see LeYenna and then up to Springfield to see Lynette's family. We spent a little over a week with them.
Jon made a 185 ft. Zipline as a surprise for Christmas. Something that Benson could enjoy with his siblings. They all LOVED it. Even Annabelle had a ball. |
Lots of games played. |
It is true what they say "the kids have more fun with the boxes than with the gits inside the boxes". |
Must have read a thousand books. Or was it one book a thousand times. I can't remember. |
Had a great time walking in the nature preserve. |

Christmas Dinner
Go-Fund-Me for Cheryl Bigall
We met a dear sister who had a massive stroke a few years back, and after extensive therapy is still paralyzed on one side of her body, both arm and leg. She walks with a walker and drags her leg, and her arm sits useless in her lap. She was recently fitted with neuromuscular braces which stimulate her muscle and allow her to walk unassisted, and to pick up a pen and write. PROBLEM--she has to pay in advance for them. $12,700. She is raising three beautiful grandchildren and cannot afford to finance that. So we made a gofundme account for her. Hoping we succeed.
Dinner with the Senior Missionaries in our Zone.
Went to Wichita Fall, TX for lunch with the other senior missionaries in our district. The Pattersons', the Perkins and the Johnsons.
